We are a well-established Preschool providing care and education for children from three years of age until they go to School.
Since 1958…
Moresby Park Preschool was officially opened on 20 July 1958, by Mr Cleavor Bunton. It was a very modest beginning with 4 or 5 puzzles, a goldfish and a gramophone. It was the days of milk duty, the roster published in the ‘Border Morning Mail’ and fruit to be shared. There were 40 children in each session. Over time, with countless fundraisers, Moresby Park Preschool gained resources and outdoor equipment.
Today…
Today, we have up to 20 children attending each day, with a qualified Teacher and a qualified Educator. Additional Educators are employed to support children with additional needs.
The Preschool has a proud tradition of a strong Management Committee whose vision all those years ago has seen the Preschool become what it is today.
We are situated in a spacious park in North Albury. Located next to the Preschool is a park that is utilised by both the local community and the Preschool. We are very fortunate to work in partnership with Albury City who own our building and assist in maintenance of our Preschool.
Our Preschool is administered by a voluntary Management Committee, comprised from parents of children enrolled at the Preschool. Parents may remain on the committee after their children have moved on to School. We welcome any involvement that parents and their families are able to give to our Preschool.
The daily running of our Preschool is managed by the Director, Teacher and Educators, all of whom are very experienced and enjoy working with preschoolers and their families. Each day we are staffed by one university qualified Teacher and one qualified Educator. If necessary, another qualified Educator is employed to work with children with additional needs, supporting them as needed.
